Crime and Policing
I am dedicated to reducing crime in our constituency. As a rural constituency, we deal with particular types of crime that are experienced less in urban and city areas - I am working hard to bring these to the forefront of the national agenda. Other crimes, like anti-social behaviour and knife crime, are all too present across our country and ordinary people pay the price. I am campaigning to increase our community safety, and improve access to swift justice for those who are the victims of crime.
Cody's Law
After the tragic murder of Cody Fisher, I have been working alongside his incredible mother, Tracy Fisher, to introduce ‘Cody’s Law'. This law would require venues to have bleed kits and metal detectors as part of their licensing conditions.

Anti-Social Behaviour
Anti-social behaviour can be one of the most gruelling and dispiriting forms of crime. It is my priority to make my constituents feel safe in their homes - no-one should be a target of anti-social behaviour.

Rural Crime
In recent years, we have seen rural crime becoming increasingly organised, serious and persistent in nature.
I am campaigning to crack down on rising rural crime, including car theft and fly-tipping, and to secure the dedicated policing resources rural areas need. I am also pushing for stronger action on speeding in our villages, with better enforcement and improved road safety measures.
