Select Committees
I sit on two select committees: the Education Select Committee, and the Environmental Audit Committee. Select committees are cross-party committees tasked with discussing and reporting on a range of issues, both specific and general. They are able to conduct inquiries and hold the government to account with their findings. External organisations and individuals are often invited to give evidence to select committees in order to inform their discussions and findings.
