Keep Great Alne for Education - Manuela Perteghella MP

I am campaigning to keep Great Alne an educational provision, and hopefully one that caters for children with SEND needs.

The is a serious shortage of specialist SEND provision in our constituency, this needs to change. I have raised my concerns with Warwickshire County Council education team about the closure of Great Alne Primary School, and am now campaigning with local councillors to to ensure that it stays as an educational establishment, hopefully for specialist SEND provision.

Previously, I had pushed the Government to keep Great Alne Primary School open.

I brought a debate to Parliament on the importance of village schools and to campaign against the proposed closure of Great Alne Primary School by Reform-led Warwickshire County Council.

Unfortunately, the Government did not intervene and stop the school's closure.

Now, I campaigning for a new SEND hub in Stratford-on-Avon, and the old Great Alne Primary School is the right place for it.
