We need safer roads in South Warwickshire

Too many lives are being lost on our roads.

I brought a debate to Parliament calling on the Government to act now on road safety across the West Midlands.

We need

  • Stronger speed enforcement near homes & schools
  • 30mph limits that are actually enforced
  • Better funding for cycling & walking routes
  • Graduated licences for new drivers
  • A shift from reacting to crashes to preventing them

Families in Stratford-on-Avon and across the region are losing loved ones.

Enough is enough. We need real change, not more delay.

I am taking direct action, locally.

I convened a stakeholder meeting in Salford Priors to press for long-overdue improvements to the A46 between Stratford and Evesham, and when commitments were not acted upon, I followed up directly with National Highways to demand progress.

You can read my letter to National Highways, here.

I have also pressed the Department for Transport to engage with Warwickshire County Council on a full safety review of the A422 Banbury Road and B4455 Fosse Way junction - please see my letter below.
